Stations of the Cross at St. Simon the Apostle

Stations of the Cross will be held every Thursday during Lent, alternating between the two parishes at 7 PM.  They will begin on February 27th at St. Simon the Apostle Parish.  Stations of the Cross is a traditional Lenten devotion which calls to our minds and hearts the Passion of Our Lord Jesus Christ as we move from one station to the other, Christ’s Way of the Cross.

Special Holy Hour for Peace

February 20th at 7 PM – Special Holy Hour for Peace in honor of the 100th Anniversary of the death of St. Jacinta of Fatima.  This Holy Hour will be exposition and Adoration of the Blessed Sacrament, a talk on Our Lady of Fatima and the approved apparitions that took place there in 1917, and the hour will close with Benediction of the Blessed Sacrament.

St. Antoninus Fish Fry

St. Al’s and St. Simon’s has been asked to promote the St. Antoninus Fish Fry every Friday evening of Lent.  This a great way to experience the wider Catholic Community, and to observe Lenten Fasting and Abstinence.

Confession

Scheduled confession times are St. Al’s Saturdays from 3:30-4:30 PM, and St. Simon’s Monday evenings from 7-7:30 PM.

Weekly Book Club

Fr. Reif will be hosting a weekly Book Club, starting Friday, February 28th and running through Lent, at 10 AM in Plagge Hall at St. Simon.

The book we will be discussing is:  “The Day is Now Far Spent” by Robert Cardinal Sarah, who is the Prefect for the Congregation for Divine Worship at the Vatican.  The book is available at Amazon.
